Ajmal Ameer is an Indian film actor, who works in the Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu film industries. He is first acted film February 14. He was born on 2 April 1985. He has also acted in one English movie. He has won two Filmfare Awards South. Ajmal was born in Aluva, Kerala. He studied medicine in National Pirogov Memorial Medical University in Vinnytsia, Ukraine and had plans to open a hospital in future. Ajmal has one brother Askar who is set to make his acting debut in the Malayalam film Holy Shit.

Ajmal has acted in three movies so far. First One being "Pranayakalam", opposite Vimala Raman. His second film was a Tamil film called Anjathe. Luck struck for him in his Third film as he got to work with Superstar Mohanlal in Madambi, as Mohanlal's younger brother. Ajmal's debut film was Pranayakalam, opposite Vimala Raman. This was followed by the Tamil film Anjathe, directed by Myshkin, in which he played an angry young man. The film became a high critical as well as commercial success, with Ajmal receiving several awards for his performance. He next starred in the Malayalam film Madambi alongside Mohanlal. Madambi remains his only hit in Malayalam.

He also acted in an international production De Nova, which went unnoticed. The anti-hero character, Vasanthan Perumal, he portrayed in the 2011 Tamil movie Ko earned him a lot of appreciation. Based on an online poll conducted by The Times Of India, Ajmal won the Chennai Times Film Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role Male. In 2013 he played an independent cinematographer in the suspense thriller Bangles. Presently, Ajmal Ameer has a few important projects in Tamil and Malayalam. One is TN-07 AL4777, a remake of Hindi film Taxi No. 9211.  Ajmal will play John Abraham's role in the film, while Pasupathi is doing Nana Patekar's role. Another movie in Tamil is being produced by Pyramid Saimira. There are some offers in Malayalam as well.

He is currently shooting for the Telugu film Prabhajanam in which he plays the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Apart from Prabhajanam he has two more Telugu films Tanu Monne Vellipoyindi and Chaitanyam. In Tamil, his upcoming films are Vetri Selvan and Ula in which he plays a rockstar and in Malayalam he has finished V. K. Prakash's Mazhaneerthullikal.
