About Me

M. S. Bhaskar was born in the year 1952 in Muthupettai in Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu. He worked with the drama troupe, Society for New Drama which staged many plays all over Tamil Nadu. He started his career as an LIC agent for a short period of time and also worked in a paste company to augment his income. Later he joined Tamil Nadu Mercantile Bank in 1981 and worked there until he got voluntary retirement in 2006. He started his career in films industry as a dubbing artist. He was hired for dubbing Telugu films into Tamil. He has dubbed more than 1000 films and still his work continues. He has one elder sister named Hemamalini who is also a dubbing artist. He is married and has one son and one daughter. He is married and children Ishwarya Bhaskar, Adithya Bhaskar.

He made his film debut in 1987, enacting a small role in the film Thirumathi Oru Vegumathi. He then graduated to supporting roles in the films Sadhu Miranda, Sivaji: The Boss, Dasavathaaram, Santosh Subramaniam and Mozhi. As of November 2009, he has acted in over 75 Tamil films. His works include the series Chinna Papa Periya Papa and Selvi and in the films Sivakasi and Mozhi. When the dramatic society ended in 1992, Bhaskar began working in teleserials on DD1 and DD2 including Nam Kudumbam and Vizhudugal, before he played roles in Ganga Yamuna Saraswati and Mayavi Marichan.
