Parvatii Nair is an Indian model and actress, who works in the South Indian film industry. Born into a Malayali family in Abu Dhabi, she trained as a software professional and also pursued a career in modelling before becoming an actress. During her modelling career, she appeared in a number of commercials and won titles such as "Miss Karnataka" and "Miss Navy Queen" in 2010.
She completed her secondary education at Our Own English High School, Abu Dhabi, and resumed her senior secondary education at St. Thomas Central School, Trivandrum, Kerala in India. She later obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science at Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal University. As a school student she had won a guinness certificate for being part of team that made the longest painting in the world. She was an active member of theatre clubs in school and college and decided to pursue a career in acting. She stated, "I've always wanted to be an actor after being part of a short film we made in college".
After working in a jewellery commercial for director V. K. Prakash, Nair was offered a role in his feature film Beautiful (2011), but refused the opportunity down as she had just finished her engineering course and was unsure whether to pursue a career in films. She later accepted to feature and make her acting début through Prakash's anthology film Poppins (2012), and worked on the project alongside her commitments in other Malayalam films. She played further roles as a traditional bride in the horror film Yakshi – Faithfully Yours (2012) and in Shalil Kallur's drama film Dolls (2013), before working on the comedy thriller Nee Ko Njaa Cha (2013). After making her Tamil film debut with a cameo role in Nimirndhu Nil, a role she repeated in its Telugu version Janda Pai Kapiraju too. She got a prime role in Kamal Haasan's Uttama Villain. She plays a 19 year old in the film and would be paired opposite Ashwin, who plays the son of Kamal Haasan's character. She has also signed up the Kannada film, Vasco-da-Gama .
