Raadhika is the daughter of the late Tamil actor and comedian, M. R. Radha (Mohan Rajagopala Radhakrishnan Naidu). Her mother is a Sri Lankan. She has a younger sister named Nirosha (Niroja), who is also an actress. Actor and politician R. Radharavi is Radhika's elder stepbrother. She is married to actor Sarath Kumar, with whom she has a son named Rahul. Her first marriage to the Malayalee actor-cum-director, Prathap K. Pothan, ended in divorce. As did her second marriage to Richard Hardy, who is a British national and by whom she has a daughter named Rayanne Hardy. She made her acting debut in Kizhake Pogum Rail directed by P. Bharathiraja. Then she entered into the Hindi film industry with Hamare Tumhare and debut in Telugu movie with Nyayam Kavali in 1981 for which she received Filmfare Award for Best Actress. She made her debut movie in Kannada, Prachanda Kulla; whereas her Malayalam debut with Koodum Thedi.  Raadhika Sarathkumar has acted in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi as well as Malayalam films. She is a Tamil television and film actress, successful entrepreneur and producer. She is the founder of Radaan Mediaworks, which has produced the successful serials Chithi, Annamalai Selvi, Arasi, Idi Katha Kadu (Telugu) and currently she is acting a new serial Chellamay in Sun TV. As a producer, she produced some Tamil films include Jithan, Thalaimagan, Kannamoochi Yenada, Chennaiyil Oru Naal, Pulivaal, Sandamarutham, Maari, Idhu Enna Maayam, Paambhu Sattai. Her ongoing projects are Dharma Durai, Pambu Sattai, Naangu Vazhi Saalai, Sangili Bungili Kathava Thora and Sarweshwar.
